Heeled Sandals Workshop

Learn how to make your own unique pair of heeled sandals in this one day workshop. I’m very excited to be able to bring you this opportunity, I always struggled to find fun, comfy shoes in a size to fit me – now I don’t have that hassle as I can make my own and so can you!

Shoes are very personal and we all have differently shaped feet, unfortunately a lot of mass produced heels are uncomfortable and just don’t really fit. In this workshop you will make a pair of shoes that fit your unique feet in a wide range of colours and whatever design you come up with.

This workshop will take place over two days (dates to be decided between us) with all supplies provided to ensure you leave with a wearable pair of shoes. You will have a choice of heel shapes, heights and leather colours. I will contact you before hand to discuss these to ensure I have what you want available.

Please note leather is used as it has the malleability and ease of use for beginners, I do not offer a vegan alternative.

Skills Learnt include:
Making a sole pattern
Deciding on a design based around your foot
Working with leather
Using contact adhesives

Each session is limited to two people so that you can get the attention you need. This is a great activity to do with a friend!

It is a good idea to have a think of the style of straps you might like and save some pictures on your phone so we can work towards this on the day. The style you make must have an open toe and heel because they are made on your foot and not a last.

If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact me.

You will need to bring your lunch with you each day as we are not near any shops, I will provide drinks and homemade cake.

Workshops take place in our house on the farm, please note we are a working farm and it can be mucky outside, there is plenty of parking but we do not have disabled access. Feel free to bring your slippers so that you are comfortable. Don’t wear your best clothes as there will be lots of leather pieces and glue being used.
