About The Pesky Partridge
Hello I am Lucy, the designer maker behind The Pesky Partridge. Every item is made on our farm in Nottinghamshire using top quality Yorkshire/ Harris Tweed, organic cotton and other loveliness I can get my hands upon! I source as much as possible from the UK and use local businesses.
The Pesky Partridge started as I wanted a career that fitted around family life. After being a land agent for 12 years it was my passion for sewing and creating that I wanted to pursue.
I have always sewn many of my own clothes and home furnishings after being taught from a young age.
Initially I wanted a quirky tweed jacket; but as there were none on the market that correctly fitted taller ladies; I decided to make my own. This jacket got so many comments that I decided it was an idea worth pursuing.
So The Pesky Partridge was born! I aim to create beautiful bespoke clothing that people can cherish and enjoy.
I am a firm believer in the properties of natural fibres produced sustainably and the reduction of waste. I aim to use the best materials I can and save all my off cuts which then get a new lease of life in any way I can think of.
Welcome to my journey with The Pesky Partridge.
